‘The Man’ Returns to Full Sail University; Becky Lynch Battles Rhea Ripley on WWE NXT

The Man came ’round to Full Sail University this Wednesday night, kicking of the go-home edition of WWE NXT with a bang. This was Becky Lynch’s first appearance on the black-and-yellow brand since being called up to the main roster ahead of SummerSlam ’15.

Lynch ended up squaring off against former NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley in the first match of the night. Unfortunately, like many of the invasion angles on WWE television over the last few weeks, the bout ended in a no contest after interference from the “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler and her Horsewomen.

Both Ripley and Lynch have their own issues with the champ, as The Man is set for a triple threat match with Baszler and Bayley this Sunday at WWE Survivor Series, while Lynch captains a team of four inside WarGames the night before.
