Drew McIntyre After Royal Rumble Win: “I’ve Been Struggling To Find The Words”

Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Snowden spoke with 2020 Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre after his win on Sunday. “It’s the biggest deal. I’ve been struggling to find the words,” McIntyre said after eliminating both Roman Reigns & WWE Champion Brock Lesnar from the Rumble match.

“When I was 14, everyone told me, ‘Wrestling is an American thing.’ Well, I was the first-ever Scotsman signed at 21, and then, I went through some incredible ups, incredible downs, got released,” McIntyre said, reflecting on his journey to the main event of WrestleMania “And finally the pieces came together.”

According to McIntyre, he had no idea how he reacted to eliminating Brock Lesnar from the match. “I hope the camera caught my face. That probably said everything, because I have no idea how I reacted.”
