Showtime Interested In MLW

Wrestling INC. is reporting that the Showtime network is interested in Major League Wrestling. The network has been looking into wrestling programming, even being in talks with AEW before they signed with WarnerMedia.

MLW has yet to comment. Since relaunching in 2017, MLW has seen a steady rise, getting a TV deal with BeIn Sports in 2018, and airing their first PPV in 2019. They also have a partnership with FITE TV.

Low Ki Set For To Face Dallas Local In MLW

MLW issued the following:

Low Ki fights Fort Worth’s Chandler Hopkins this Saturday in Dallas
WARNING: Limited $15 bleacher tickets available at MLWDallas.com

Fresh off of competing in AAA, Fort Worth’s own Chandler Hopkins looks to show that a country boy ain’t nothing to mess with… but is he prepared for the the king of knockouts Low Ki?

Major League Wrestling today announced Low Ki vs. Chandler Hopkins for MLW: Zero Hour at the NYTEX Sports Centre in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area this Saturday January 11. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.

Tickets start at $15 at http://www.MLWDallas.com.

The decorated former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Low Ki looks to kick off 2020 by kicking the head off of his first opponent of the New Year.

Standing in his way is the 6′ tall “Young Gun” Chandler Hopkins vows to impress MLW and his hometown in his debut.

A standout wrestler known for blending brawling with high-flying flashy lucha, the Fort Worth fighter Hopkins looks to prove he is major league material.

Hopkins, who has made name for himself on the Texas circuit, made an impact in 2019 in AAA Lucha Libre.  Adding spectacular Mexican moves to his unorthodox arsenal, Hopkins presents a unique challenge for Low Ki.

A striking and submission machine, Low Ki welcomes such a challenge.

Could we see another flash knockout from the “Lone Wolf of Brooklyn”? Low Ki is blunt with his game plan: “It will come down to proximity. Right kick, hospital; left kick, cemetery.”

Will Forth Worth’s own Chandler Hopkins secure the biggest win of his young and promising career? Will Low Ki add the first victim to his 2020 record in MLW?

Erick Stevens Set For MLW Debut

MLW issed the following:

Erick Stevens grapples with Douglas James in debut this Saturday in Dallas
WARNING: Limited bleacher tickets available!

Major League Wrestling today announced Erick Stevens vs. Douglas James for MLW: Zero Hour at the NYTEX Sports Centre in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area this Saturday January 11. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.

Tickets start at $15 at http://www.MLWDallas.com.

For weeks league matchmakers have tried to secure an opponent for Erick Stevens’ debut with all passing on taking on the ferocious Floridian.

Frustrated by an inability to find an opponent willing to step in the ring with Stevens, MLW CEO Court Bauer shared the story on Twitter over the weekend.

Wasting no time, undefeated kickboxer/MMA fighter turned pro wrestler Douglas James stepped up asking for the match.  League officials moved quickly to go to contract on the Zero Hour bout, which is now official.

“Iron Heart” Douglas James enters Saturday’s bout with impressive outings against the likes of National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone and Timothy Thatcher, the latter of which was so impressed by James, Thatcher invited him to train at his camp in California.

James now enters the ring this Saturday in Dallas/Ft. Worth looking to make a statement against a determined force of destruction in Erick Stevens.

An intimidating mix of brute force, power and and focused aggression Erick Stevens is one of the most destructive forces in the sport.

Over the course of his career, Stevens has left a trail of wreckage. Stevens has also dominated in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and earned his Brazilian Jiujitsu blue belt.

Will Douglas James deny Erick Stevens triumph in his debut?

Will Stevens set the tone for what many expect could be a vicious tour de force in MLW.
