Sean Waltman Gives His Thoughts On Marty Scurll Signing With ROH

WWE Hall Of Famer, Sean Waltman has given his thoughts on the news that Marty Scurll has decided to re-sign with Ring Of Honor.

Waltman was discussing the situation on his X-Pac12360 Podcast, where he reflected on Scurll’s decision.

“Marty is a smart guy, I am sure he weighed his options very carefully,” Waltman said. “And it was an incredibly important decision to make at this time in wrestling because if he goes to AEW and he’s on that stage, he could make a difference wherever he goes.

“He chose to stay there… [ROH] has some good talent there. Marty’s there, I am a fan of Brody King, and some other guys there.”

Waltman went on to discuss ROH in general, admitting that the company hasn’t given him the vibe that it used to do lately.

“But I turn the [ROH] TV on, I watch their TV show and I am like, ‘What’s going on here?’ [There are] lackluster matches. I am not trying to s–t on their product because I root for them but when I watched ROH recently, I didn’t feel that feeling that I usually feel,” Waltman explained. “It didn’t have that vibe, that flavor. When you used to think of ROH, that was the 5-star match factory.

“I hope it changes because I root for them. And thank God for that company because half the main roster in WWE that’s making that money now came from there. So I am hoping they listen to Marty because Marty’s got fresh eyes, fresh thoughts.”

Kurt Angle Reveals His Mount Rushmore Of Professional Wrestling

The Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling is something that fans often debate about online, and recently Kurt Angle gave his picks.

The WWE Hall Of Famer spoke with The Sun where he revealed which four men would make his personal Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling:

“A guy like Shawn Michaels would be on the Mount Rushmore, Ric Flair would be on Mount Rushmore,” Angle said. “I don’t see Brock as an overall athlete that would be up there. But don’t get me wrong, what he does in the ring, no-one does better.

“‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and The Rock,” Angle revealed. “I would never put myself up there, it’s just not who I am. I imagine some people do, but when I think about Mount Rushmore, I don’t think of myself.”

With mentioning Brock Lesnar in his answer, Angle went into more detail as to why the WWE Champion doesn’t make his list:

“With Brock, in most cases they would pass him up,” Angle said. “I think it’s because he’s not a guy—he’s a man of very few words. He goes in that ring and performs as good, if not better, than anyone in the world, but in sports entertainment you have got to have something behind that. So, if you are talking about Mount Rushmore then you are talking about the overall entertainment—how people get wowed and what they say to people, to the fans, and how they pertain themselves in their character.”

Tonight’s WWE Raw Preview: Ladder Match, Brock Lesnar Appears, Rumble Go-Home Show

Tonight’s WWE Raw will be the go-home show for Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble, and the company already has a stacked card for the show.

After laying waste to R-Truth last week, the WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar will be back once again. Making his third appearance in a row, the Beast will be out to make a point ahead of Sunday’s show where he will be entering the Rumble in the #1 spot.

As well as that, the complicated romance storyline will reach a boiling point with mixed tag team action. Rusev and Liv Morgan will be teaming up to take on Bobby Lashley and Lana as all four look to finally settle their differences.

Finally, in what should be a thrilling match, Andrade will defend his United States Championship in a ladder match against Rey Mysterio.

As well as all of that, WWE will have the final build towards WWE Royal Rumble, with more entrants likely to be announced for the match.

The Young Bucks Talk Possibly Facing The Revival: “There’s Some Real-Life Tension There”

The Young Bucks recently spoke with ESPN West Palm where they discussed potentially facing The Revival and how close they came to wrestling New Day.

On being surprised certain legends know who they are:

“Anytime a veteran like Chris Jericho comes to us, whether it be like two or three years ago when we first met him and worked with him, and he said, ‘oh, I know all about you guys. I’ve seen this or that.’ I go, ‘wait. What?’ That blows my mind because you’re the guy I grew up watching and I idolized, and I literally have his action figures in my sons room to this day,” Matt Jackson said. “And now I work with him. I remember, back a couple of years ago as well, when I first got to work with Rey Mysterio, and he was coming up to me and [went], ‘hey, let’s do that one spot you and your brother do’, and I go, ‘wait a minute. You watched us?’ That’s surreal.”

On possibly facing The Revival:

“For me, the obvious one whenever people talk about the dream match that never happened would be us and The Revival because I feel like there’s some real-life tension there, and I don’t know if it’s competitive or friendly or whatever it is,” Matt said. “There’s definitely something. There’s a competitive rivalry there. Talk about two teams that have polar opposites in styles, where I think it could be a fun style clash. I would love to have that match. That’s probably number one on my bucket list right now.”

On New Day vs The Elite being close to happening:

“I would say The Elite vs. The New Day because that was actually something that was close to actually happening at one point, but it’s just never happened,” Nick said. “I think if that six-man happened it would’ve tore the house down.”
