IN RING SEGMENT

BURN IT DOWWWWWN!!!! The MONSTER Slayer is here!!! Seth makes his way to the ring with a smile on his face and is happy to still be your Universal Champion! Seth mentions that he was not happy that he lost the Tag Team Championships. He says it doesn’t matter who’s fault it was because they didn’t have a chance to dwell on it much because they had to go against each other for the Universal Champion. He praises Braun that he had to use 4 Curb Stomps and a pedigree to put him down.

He didn’t have time to celebrate because before he knew it he was shrouded in darkness and the only thing he saw before he passed out was the Fiend, Bray Wyatt. But in a few weeks he gets to go one on one with the Fiend inside hell in a cell!

Suddenly we hear the music of the Firefly Funhouse and Bray Wyatt is on the screen. He says that they are best friends but he will forgive…but the Fiend never forgets. That’s why he saw him at Clash of Champions…and who knows…he might even see him tonight. Seth looks worried and creeped out.

IN RING SEGMENT

The two new tag team champions come out to the ring: Raw Tag Team Champions, Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler and the Smackdwon Tag Team Champions, The Revival. Robert Roode starts to talk about how no one believed in them and no one thought they could be champions…..

BRAAAUUUUNNNNN!! Strowman comes out and he’s looking to have someone get these hands. He proceeds to mow down the Revival, then takes out Dolph Ziggler! Roode escapes the ring and Braun follows and he runs over both members of The Revival and Dolph, but Robert Roode gets away.

WWE CLASH OF CHAMPIONS PRE-SHOW

WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION
DREW GULAK(c) vs. HUMBERTO CARILLO vs. LINCE DORADO

Here we go! Gulak starts quick with a running dropkick on Carillo, then goes right for Dorado. The match makes it to the outside and Dorado goes to the barricade and hits Gulak with a jumping hurricanrana. Carillo takes out Dorado and then brings Gulak back into the ring. He grabs him by the hand and tries to walk the ropes and springboard but Gulak pulls Carillo off and slams him onto the mat.

Carillo gets up and hits a northern lights suplex on Gulak, sending him out of the ring, but he quickly gets in the ring. He picks Dorado up and tosses him at Carillo. Carillo falls but then rolls up Dorado. Gulak breaks up the count and then all three men get up and exchange right hands until all three men fall to the ground exhausted.

Carillo jumps to the top and he hits Dorado with the Aztec splash, but Gulak quickly throws Carillo into the post and the out of the ring. He pins Dorado and gets the sneaky victory!

Winner AND STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Drew Gulak

WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
AJ STYLES(c) vs. CEDRIC ALEXANDER

AJ runs at Cedric right away and Cedric surprises AJ with a Michinoku Driver! He goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out at 2! AJ rolls out of the ring to collect himself but Cedric isn’t done and he runs and flips over the ropes right onto Styles! He brings him in the ring and Styles sends Cedric off the ropes and Cedric hits a handspring elbow! He goes for the cover once again and Styles kicks out at 2 once again!

Cedric goes to the outside and tries for a springboard to the inside, but AJ interrupts him and Cedric crashes and burns hard. AJ capitalizes right away and picks up Cedric on the apron and delivers a SICKENING brainbuster on the apron!!! WOW!!! Cedric is all but done, laying lifeless on the outside, but AJ decides he’s not done yet as he picks up Cedric and delivers a Styles Clash on the outside!! WOW AGAIN!

He puts him back in the ring and goes for the cover, but he picks up Cedric’s head before the official can count the three count. He continues to punish Cedric, but Cedric can only attack with a back elbow at one point, but it’s not enough as Styles hits Cedric with another Styles Clash and picks up the victory.

Winner AND STILL United States Champion: AJ Styles

FITE COO Michael Weber Talk FITE’s Innovations, Partnerships With Starrcast, AEW, Possible Partnership With WWE & More!

FITE is the premier digital network for combat sports. Accessible on the FITE App, supported by over 7,000 TV models, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, & more. Find more information on Fite.TV

Our own dougEwrestling was able to sit with FITE COO Michael Weber about FITE and its involvement with Professional Wrestling, his history in the wrestling business, FITE’s innovations, partnerships, & more! Check it out below or listen to the full interview in the latest of episode of STF Underground (player below).

On his start in professional wrestling…

“Well, I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best people in the business. But it was purely by chance how I got into it. My background was actually in collegiate sports. I finished up my masters in sports administration, and knock on wood, 35 years later I’m still working in sports administration. Once I completed my degree, I spoke to the professor that was the head of the program, and I really wanted to work at Duke. A guy named Basil DeVito contacted the head of the program and said ‘Hey I got this thing called WrestleMania II coming up. Don’t need to know anything about wrestling, but I need somebody who knows a little bit about PR and stuff, and I need an intern. I said… ‘I’ll learn something at the very least. I knew who Hulk Hogan was and that was about it.”

Did your expertise & knowledge have anything to do with bringing wrestling to FITE?

“Absolutely, that’s how we got started. We came up with our concept with our CEO. Our platform had some entertainment and news, but it needed to be more focused. We did a test with WrestleKingdom VIII., and it worked. Then we did a test with Ring of Honor, then we did another test with IMPACT Wrestling. And we said, ‘Why don’t we go into the combat sports vertical?”

Have you gotten the chance since being in the business to sit down and enjoy anything you’ve done as a fan?

“Well, probably the coolest wrestling event that I ever worked with…I was a PR guy for WrestleMania III. Which if you might remember, if you were alive then, was in the Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit and had 93,173 in there. I mean, I remember going down on the floor when guys were doing their entrances and their feet were not touching the ground because they were so pumped up and excited about running to the ring. It was such a cool event and such a turning point for wrestling in general and obviously for the WWF.”

FITE is known as an innovator in the segment. Are there any others that we can expect from FITE moving forward?

“There has been one innovation that actually just went live a couple of weeks ago and people might not realize its available, and we have a DVR function now. So when you’re watching a program live, you can actually pick it up live, but you can go back and start at an earlier point in the show and start watching it from that point. More and more people are making that available, but not as many as you would think have that capability in their app.

We’re always trying to tweak the recommendation engine, which tells you ‘Hey, if you like this, you probably will like this kind of show. If you like people getting hit over the head in GCW with florescent lightbulbs, you’re going to like Southern Violence Wrestling, which is even crazier yet that we have on our platform. We do have the full breadth of whatever your tastes may be.”

Is there a chance that FITE partners with the WWE?

“We ARE having conversations with the WWE regarding getting access to their Pay Per View events. Their big events that are available are available on Direct & DISH, & cable so we think they should also be available on our platform as well. There’s people who don’t want to buy their subscription who still want to see the event and are willing to pay the $49 or $59 price tag because their events are pivotal in the wrestling world that people want to see. Must watch events.

FITE streams many of the best live and pay-per-view events, and tens of thousands of hours of on-demand programming to millions of fans around the world. With 2,000 flawlessly delivered premium live events to date, we have the unprecedented fight record of 2000-0-0

WWE Raw Results (9/9): King Of The Ring Triple Threat Semi Finals, Austin Moderates A ‘Stunning’ Contract Signing, Flair & Lynch vs. Sasha & Bayley

WWE RAW RESULTS
September 9th, 2019
Report by Doug Enriquez For ProWrestling.com

IN RING SEGMENT

CRASH!!! THE GLASS BREAKS AND THE TEXAS RATTLESNAKE IS HERE! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD…IS IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!! Phew, ok. The crowd is going insane and so am I as Austin makes his way down the ramp into the ring! He catches some beers and downs them immediately as the crowd goes insane!!!

“OH HELL YEAH!” Austin notes that it has been 20 years since he has been to Madison Square Garden as the crowd chants “WHAT” back at him. He tells a story about him vs. Bret “The Hitman” Hart. He then tells a story about him and the Undertaker during their “Highway To Hell” match at SummerSlam 1998, where he got knocked out by The Undertaker legit.

He talks about Braun Strowman & Seth Rollins having a hard time to get the contract signed for the Universal Championship. He says that if the people are ready to see this get signed, give me a HELL YEAH! He introduces “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman first, and Braun makes his way to the ring, Raw Tag Team Championship in hand.

Braun proceeds to stand face to face with Austin and then reaches for the mic, but Austin instead introduces SETH FREAKIN ROLLINS. Rollins says that they are in New York City, this is Madison Square Garden, and this is Stone Cold Steve Austin! This is what he means when he says “BURN IT DOWN!!” The crowd starts “What’ing” Rollins and he plays along, but he tells Braun that no one is going to stab him in the back. He is the best wrestler on the planet, and after this Sunday, he is STILL going to be the best wrestler on the planet. He signs the contract and gives Braun the pen.

Braun says that he is not going to turn on him because he likes being Raw Tag Team Champions. But he is going to LOVE being Universal Champion. He says to quote one of the best of all time, he is going to open up a can of whoop ass and Seth is going to get these hands.

Out comes AJ Styles & The OC and they tell Austin that they don’t want none. This has nothing to do with him, but this has everything to do with Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman. They get in the ring and Austin says he doesn’t know why he came out there, but he knows where this is heading….Rollins & Strowman attack! They knock the OC to the outside and Strowman follows and knocks them down HARD. In the ring, Seth is ready to BURN IT DOWN and deliver the Curb Stomp on AJ, but AJ dodges and knocks Rollins out of the ring. AJ brags and brags, but he turns around into a waiting rattlesnake! Austin gives him the double birds and gives him a stunner! Austin talks trash and drinks beers to end the segment. OH HELL YEAH!!

AJ STYLES vs. CEDRIC ALEXANDER

Alexander has a score to settle and he rushes down to the ring to take advantage of a dazed AJ Styles. He starts to attack Styles heavily and throws him to the outside and then into the barricades. He sends him back into the ring and then puts him in the corner. He tries to Irish whip Styles into the corner, but Styles reverses. Styles charges and Alexander goes up and over and then hits Styles with a head scissors sending him to the mat. He jumps up and hits a downed Styles with a dropkick!
