Cody Rhodes Announces Huge Main Event For ‘AEW Fight For The Fallen’

A battle of brothers may have left 50-year-old wrestling legend Dustin Rhodes a bloody mess at Saturday night’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view, but the artist formerly known as “Goldust” isn’t quite ready to hang up his boots just yet.

It was Cody who ultimately scored the victory in an almost unbelievably violent battle, bringing the sold-out crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to the highest of heights, and lowest of lowest of the emotional spectrum. After the match, however, the “American Nightmare” returned to the ring and made his blood-soaked sibling an interesting offer…

Cody stated that before Double or Nothing had even been announced, he signed his name to a contract for the upcoming AEW Fight for the Fallen event taking place this June in Jacksonville, FL. That contract effectively booked him in a tag team match with the parntner of his choosing, to take on the men he considers to be the greatest tag team in the world today – his fellow AEW Executive Vice Presidents, Nick and Matt Jackson, the Young Bucks.

You can probably see where I’m going with this.

On July 13th the brothers Rhodes will team together for the first time in more than four years, as Cody and Dustin (this time, without the ridiculous gimmicks attached) will indeed battle the Young Bucks at AEW Fight for the Fallen.
